Clay Core Sample Request
In HADES, our team of technicians routinely core clay samples from the Boom Clay massive in which the laboratory is located. These clay samples are 1 meter long cores of various diameters. They are pristine and well-preserved thanks to our vacuum-packaging which avoids oxidation. The video below shows our sampling procedure. The clay samples require a rigorous management to trace their initial location, date of extraction, and the data that they generate.
Are you part of a research organisation that performs clay-related research? It is possible to request a clay core extracted from the HADES underground for research purposes.
A formal procedure has been developed by NIRAS‑ONDRAF and implemented by EURIDICE to ensure full traceability and compliance with quality standards when assigning geological samples for research purposes.
